RequestServer is a tool which allows users of Request to share multiple projects
in real time. This permits all parties to see the project at both a high level, and a
precisely detailed level.
RequestServer does not replace Request but instead is used with Request.
Request users will connect to RequestServer so they can load projects managed
by RequestServer, which are also known as shared projects. It adds features to
your projects such as security options, and automatic email capability.
The Interface
RequestServer provides an interface that is friendly, powerful, and looks the same on all supported platforms.

RequestServer Features at a Glance
- Multiple projects are seamlessly organized between management and employees. Users viewing a particular project will see the
same information. If someone changes some information in a project, the changes are immediately seen by all who are viewing
the project.
- Permissions may be given to individual users, in that they can be given read-only access, read and modify access, or for the most
privileged users, the ability to delete information.
- To enhance sharing information, RequestServer adds the ability to manage a list of names associated with email addresses.
Those names show up in Request’s item form as a check list. When the user submits a change to the information, the changes
are emailed to any name that was checked.
- Request and RequestServer maybe be used on different operating systems (Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux) without issues. For
example, RequestServer could run on a Linux platform, and one user could use Request on Windows and another on Mac OS X.
Both instances of Request can communicate with the RequestServer without any problems. The GUI interface looks exactly the
same on all platforms.
- For tracking purposes, all information changes are tagged with the user’s login name and the date.
